John P. Lynch, M.B.A., M.A., Executive Director
Since 1988, John Lynch has had a strong influence on the success and direction of Helen Keller Services for the Blind. With 30 years experience, he serves as Executive Director, overseeing and managing all education and rehabilitation programs for adults and children who are blind or visually impaired. Prior to this, Lynch served as Assistant Director and Rehabilitation Services Director, coordinating all aspects of client placement services. While at HKSB, he also developed community and center-based rehabilitation services and provided orientation and mobility instruction.
Earlier in his career, Lynch was a rehabilitation teacher for Tampa Lighthouse for the Blind; Director of the Integrated Strategies Program and a rehabilitation consultant for Helen Keller International, Inc.; an orientation and mobility specialist for the Virginia Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired; a house parent for the Perkins School for the Blind; and a Peace Corps volunteer at the National Institute for the Blind in Bogotá, Columbia.
Lynch received a Master of Business Administration from Long Island University; a Master of Arts in education from Boston College; a diploma in Social Development from Coady International Institute (Canada); and a Bachelor of Arts from Mount St. Mary’s College.
